PART 6 of 6

This article, originally written in the spring of 2019; revised in the midst of Covid; and as a result of feedback; has now become a 6 Part Series. May this new breakdown of the information create yet more pleasant reading for everyone.

“If programming WITHIN the system is important, the meta-programming OF the system itself is even more important.”

(Don’t know who said this, but it has stuck with me for years… and thought it fitting to introduce this article here)

PART 6–4 Things We Need NOW

Closing Thoughts…

“(We need) pragmatic and ethical ways to assist Human / Social Enhancement (Dr. Laura Y. Cabrera — Palgrave MacMillan — 2015) in community-based ways before we get too far ahead of ourselves technologically.”

That is the race now, and with each breath we take that we don’t focus there, we stand less of a chance to bring it to the forefront in healthy ways before massive crises show up. (Note: the intial draft of this was created in the summer of 2019 before the CV-19 outbreak…)

.

There are four things needed NOW, to make rolling out active research that takes what we already know WORKS out in the field, and to build up yet more case studies and real time dissemination on everything in this 6-Part Series not only possible, but probable:

  1. Collectively / Collaboratively seeding a $100 Million Advance Market Commitment / Sovereign Wealth Fund / Super Social Fund — acting like an Endowment TO START… where the annual interest goes to Facilitated Convening Globally, convening persons not organizations, ahead of organizational mandates or even ideation
  2. Setting up a Global Guild / Super-Infrastructure that harnesses the legions of Facilitative talent that exists across the planet, separate from any disciplinary, funder, or founder agenda in the name of co-designing and co-governance
  3. Rallying Civic Participation Policies that enable common wisdom to be integrated back into the finance conversations, to shift our pre-occupation with speculation, and into a deeper, broader sense of response-ability and stewardship
  4. Cultivating and getting explicit more deeply and profoundly, about what it’s going to take for all of us to “be with” and “witness” each…
